Cthulhu Lives! is a live-action roleplaying game created in 1984, inspired by the classic Chaosium game Call of Cthulhu and based on the gothic horror fiction of H. P. Lovecraft.

It is a blend of the notions of free-form make-believe and the carefully planned excitement of traditional roleplaying games, in which players experience a frightening mystery investigation.

The development of Cthulhu Lives! was the original purpose of the HPLHS, and this adventure archive was the nucleus of our first website. We hope you enjoy this glimpse into our past.
